As part of the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team, you’ll help design, build, and run large-scale, distributed, fault-tolerant systems that support some of the firm’s most critical services.

This is a high-impact role where you will create tools, platforms, and processes that enable engineering teams across Goldman Sachs to operate reliable and scalable production systems. From cloud-native infrastructure to automation and monitoring platforms, your work will directly shape the reliability of thousands of systems used by internal teams daily.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and support SRE platforms and tools.
• Collaborate with internal teams to onboard them onto SRE solutions and adopt best practices.
• Drive automation, monitoring, and alerting to improve system reliability.
• Lead and participate in SRE disciplines including SLIs/SLOs, incident reviews, and operational readiness.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve distributed systems across cloud and on-prem datacenters.
• Take technical ownership while managing multiple stakeholders in a global team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of industry experience in software engineering or related fields.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript preferred).
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Experience with software/system design, distributed systems, and automation.
• Hands-on exposure to databases, cloud environments, and infrastructure management tools (Terraform, AWS/GCP).
• Strong analytical mindset, stakeholder management, and ability to work in global teams.
